Is the St. Louis chapter of People of the
Book Lutheran Outreach (POBLO), a mission society of the
Lutheran Church -
Missouri Synod (LCMS). Our mission is to be involved in
relationships with Muslims and other New Americans with whom we can
share the Gospel through caring words and actions.

Exists to mobilize St. Louis Christians to
show God’s love in Jesus, raise up spiritual leaders, and plant
worshipping communities.
- Ministry is done through:
- Building intentional relationships with new Americans
- Bible study involving one-on-one or group study
- Human care ministries provided through committed
congregations
- Committed Christians willing to share their talents in areas
such as:
- teaching English-as-a-Second- Language
- mentoring a new American family
- leading an individual or group Bible study
- volunteering as a camp counselor
- sharing computer knowledge
- driving for special events
- coaching a sports team
- babysitting occasionally
- cooking a meal
- Seeks to partner with churches, organizations, and
individuals committed to cross-cultural ministry by:
- Mobilizing a network of encouragers to provide prayer and
financial support
- Connecting with outreach-minded small groups in
congregations
- Engaging youth and other groups in servant ministries
- Establishing committed congregational representatives for
CFNA
- Linking with local, experienced cross-cultural church
workers
- Helps New Americans needing:
- Practice speaking English
- Information about life in the U.S.
- Friends to help them adjust
- Transportation assistance
- Help with obtaining household goods
- Jesus’ love communicated with them!
